  福特汽车公司旗下拥有的汽车品牌有福特 (Ford)、林肯(Lincoln)、水星(Mercury)、阿斯顿·马丁(Aston Martin)、美洲豹(Jaguar)、马自达(Mazda)、沃尔沃(Volvo)和陆虎(Land Rover)。此外,还拥有世界最大的汽车信贷企业-福特信贷(Ford Financial)、全球最大的汽车租赁公司-赫兹(Hertz)。这些都是人们耳熟能详的品牌,同时,由于福特汽车公司多年的苦心经营,这些品牌本身都具有着巨大的价值。以“福特”品牌为例,根据国际著名品牌咨询公司Interbrand的最新调查,品牌价值为301亿美元,位居汽车品牌价值榜首。
福特在中国
  福特汽车在中国的历史可追溯到1913年,当时第一批T型车销售到中国。1924年孙中山先生致信亨利·福特,请他帮助建立中国的汽车工业。作为首家在新中国开拓业务的外国汽车公司,福特汽车当时的董事长亨利·福特二世于1978年得到了邓小平先生的会见,表达了福特汽车公司与中国汽车工业合作的愿望。
  福特汽车(中国)有限公司成立于1995年10月25日,程美玮先生为现任董事长兼首席执行官。
目前,福特汽车拥有位于江西省南昌市的江铃汽车(股份)有限公司30%的股份。作为上市公司,江铃汽车(股份)有限公司于1997年底成功推出了全顺 (Transit) 商用汽车。到目前为止,已成功地推出了多达13种商务车型。福特汽车公司还在中国成立了6家合资企业,生产汽车零部件和提供售后服务。2000年6月福特汽车公司分离零部件业务,其中5家公司加入伟世通公司。
  2001年4月25日,福特汽车公司和长安汽车集团共同初期投资9800万美元成立了长安福特汽车有限公司,双方各拥有50%的股份,专业生产满足中国消费者需求的轿车。首辆中国制造的福特轿车, 福特嘉年华, 已于二零零三年一月十八日正式下线,并且开始接受订车。
  2001年9月26日,福特汽车国际贸易(天津)有限公司成立,从事进口汽车贸易。
  此外,福特汽车公司于1995年设立福特信贷北京代表处,开发在中国的汽车金融业务。

Ford Worldwide

  Ford Motor Company is one of the world's largest automotive companies, established by Henry Ford in 1903. In 1908, the world's first automobile for the common people, the Model T came to birth. Thus began the world's automotive revolution. 1913 saw another world's first for Ford Motor Company - the assembly line. This innovation helped the sales of the flagship Model T reach an astonishing 15 million units. A record that resulted in Henry Ford being acclaimed worldwide as the man who put wheels on the world”. In 1999, Henry Ford received award from Fortune magazine the businessman of the Century ”. To truly understand the needs of the consumer, and then to utilize the best materials and the best employees to make affordable cars for everyone is but the only secret of Henry Ford's success.

  Today, as the world's leading automotive company, what gives us a sense of pride is still that we maintain Henry Ford's founding principles: "Consumers are the focus of everything we do. Our work must be done with our consumers in mind, providing better products and services than our competition.”  Bearing in mind of it, in 2002, Ford Motor Company's 350,000 employees created a revenue of $162.6 billion and sold about 7 million vehicles to more than 200 countries in 6 continents.

  Ford Motor Company's automotive brands include Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Aston Martin, Jaguar and Land Rover.  Its automotive related services include Ford Financial - the biggest auto financing company in the world, Hertz - the largest vehicle rental company worldwide. These well-know brands have great value. Using "Ford” brand as an example, according to the most recent study of famous brand consultant company, Interbrand, Ford brand has a value of $30.1 billion, the highest value of automotive brands, ranked 7 of all brands worldwide.

CHINA

  In China, Ford's history dates back to 1913, when Model T was imported to China. In 1924, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen wrote to Henry Ford inviting him to help establish China's automotive industry. In 1928, a sales and service branch was organized in Shanghai and remained until the beginning of World War II. By the end of 1929, tractors built at the Ford plant in Cork, Ireland, were also shipped and sold in China.

  Ford's modern day involvement in China began in June 1978, when Henry Ford II and other Ford executives met with Deng Xiaoping to express Ford's wish to co-operate with the China automotive industry, making Ford Motor the first foreign automotive manufacturer to pursue the Chinese market.

Ford Motor (China) Ltd. was established on Oct. 25, 1995.

  Today, Ford has a 30% equity stake in Jiangling Motor Corporation (JMC). In Jiangxi Pronvince.  In 1997, Ford and JMC launched the jointly developed and manufactured China Transit. Over the years, Transit commercial vehicle range in China has extended to 13 derivatives. At the same time, Ford Motor (China) Ltd. has set up six joint ventures (merged into Visteon when Ford Motor Company spun off automotive parts and components business, in June 2000) which were dedicated to the manufacturing of automotive parts and components.

  On April 25, 2001, Ford Motor Company and Changan Automotive (Group) Co. jointly established Changan Ford Automobile Corporation, Ltd (CAF). The JV, with an initial joint investment of US$98 million, each party holding 50% of the total share, will manufacture passenger cars catering to Chinese consumers’ needs. Plant construction has been completed within record time by August, 2002. The first Ford passenger car, Ford Fiesta, made by Changan Ford was launched on January 18, 2003. Dealers of the new national dealer distribution network has started taking order of Ford Fiesta since Jan. 18.

  Additionally, Ford Credit, the financing company for Ford products, established its representative office in 1996 to get prepared to take advantage of auto-financing business that's going to be opened to foreign financing institutes..

  Ford Motor International Trading (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. ("FMITT"), a wholly Ford invested trading company, was established in Tianjin Bonded Area on September 24, 2001. FMITT is currently providing support to Ford authorized dealers and operating Ford imported BU distribution and after-sales service business in China. 

  Currently, there are more than 30 Ford dealers, 39 service centers and three technical training centers. Since 1990, Ford has exported more than 15,000 vehicles to China.

  Besides exploring business in China, Ford Motor Company is also aware of its role as a responsible corporate citizen. In 2000, Ford donated 100,000 "Yellow Traffic Safety caps” to primary school grade one students in Shanghai and bought each of them one year's personal accident insurance. Beginning from 2000, Ford China organized "Ford Motor Conservation and Environmental Grants, China” every year with annual prizes totalling RMB 1million (US$ 120,000) to recognize environmental protection heroes in China, and contribute to the development of environmental protection efforts in the country. At the same time, Ford is deeply committed in joint programs in helping China in the area of education and R&D.
