　　LGI is very active in trade. We export products and plants, import industrial raw materials and energy, and provide numerous different products on the domestic market including IT equipment. 
　　In fashion, we have established a high-profit oriented brand portfolio in men’s clothing. By emphasizing brand building, cost reduction, and maximization of consumer 　　satisfaction, LGI expects to become “Fashion Powerhouse Korea.”
The key to LGI’s consistent profits is in its attractive business portfolio. It seeks a balance between exports/imports and domestic businesses. The bulk of LGI’s profits are derived from distribution in Korea and in other countries, allowing LGI to respond more quickly and flexibly to a slowdown in any specific industry. Moreover, LGI is reaping rewards from its restructuring effort, which it had begun even before the 1997 financial crisis. It took decisive action in dealing with its unprofitable operations. As a result, LGI was able to buck the trend and remain profitable through the economic slowdown and the deterioration in export conditions.
　　LGI has also never lost sight of the importance of maximizing shareholder value. We will continue our drive to create value based on EVA management in each line of business and maintain a high dividend yield.
