上海兰生（集团）有限公司是1994年10月由上海市政府批准组建的国有大型企业集团。 

　　兰生集团的经营范围以进出口贸易为主，涵盖国际运输、工业制造、生物医药研制、房产、宾馆、高科技投资、服务贸易等行业。现有成员企业十四家，其中，上海兰生股份有限公司是全国外经贸系统第一家上市公司。目前，集团拥有总资产近30亿元，净资产10多亿元。是上海市现代企业制度改革和国有资产授权经营试点企业之一。 

　　面对中国加入世贸组织和经济全球化的趋势，集团大力进行结构调整和制度创新，实施品牌战略和“走出去”战略，引入大物流概念，发挥集团货物贸易和服务贸易的优势，积极向原材料供应、现代物流、电子商务等上下游领域拓展，向供应链各个环节延伸，参与跨国采购中心的供货和服务，为国内外客户提供包储、分销、加工、配送、国际货运代理及进出口贸易等优质服务。

   Approved by the Shanghai Municipal Government and established in October 1994, Shanghai Lansheng Group Corporation is the first large-scale state-owned group of enterprises named after its manager -- Mr. Zhang Lansheng.

　　Lansheng Group mainly engages in import and export, and its business scope also covers areas such as international transportation, manufacturing industry, bio-pharmaceutical research and development, real estate and hotel management, hi-technology investment, service trade, etc. Currently it has nine subsidiary enterprises, including Shanghai Lansheng Corporation, which is the first publicly listed company among all the Chinese foreign trade companies. At present, the total assets of the group add up to nearly 3 billion RMB and its net assets amount to over 1 billion RMB. It is now one of the pilot enterprises in Shanghai to carry out reforms of modern enterprise system and to operate state assets under authorization.

　　Over the past years, Lansheng Group has adhered to its corporate spirit of "unity, development, realistic approach, high efficiency" and principles of "striving for superior quality and high grade, new design and varieties, good commercial reputation, excellent service and flexible trade practices". It has not only persisted in the strict management of its core business consisting of the import and export of medicines, health products, stationery and sporting goods, but also strived to reduce cost, develop business in other fields, energetically develop high and new technology industries, raise the efficiency of assets management and ensure the maintenance and increase of state assets value.

　　The experience of Lansheng Group during its process of reform and development has won warm acclaim from the authorities. Leaders of Shanghai Municipal Government entitled Lansheng Group as a "forefront soldier" and "pioneer" in the reforms of foreign trade companies, and leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation acclaimed it as "a successful model of reforms for state-owned foreign trade enterprises in Shanghai and in the whole country".
